A Blogging Story: Intentional Conscious Parenting

Intentional Conscious Parenting is a parenting blog co-authored by two best friends. Carol and Stacy. We have been best friends for twenty-five years. Our two families have grown and expanded together. Stacy has two girls. Carol has two boys.  Over the years while raising our children we figured out the kind of parenting and children's books that we were looking for were not always available. We decided that someday we would write our own children's books. We have completed our first children's picture book. It is in manuscript form and is being sent off to literary agents around the country. While we are working hard on getting our first manuscript published we decided to create a blog as our writers platform. What we didn't know at the time was how fast our blog and all our connections would begin to grow. We are so grateful for all the amazing parents, grandparents, readers, authors and children we have met through our writing already. We hope you will come pay us a visit. 

Intentional Conscious Parenting is not your typical parenting blog. It  is a place to share ideas on raising children with a focus on inner connectedness, trusting our intuition, connecting with our angels, mother earth, celebrating each child's uniqueness and bringing out their inner creativity.  We feature guest authors, reviews, giveaways and live author chats. Inspiring articles and on occasion talk about the publishing journey. Parenting is a process and we all learn as learn as we go along. The gifts our children give us during the parenting process is priceless! We believe in supporting the inner light of every child.

Obessed

I'm obsessed about making flowers. I made this flower for my daughter RC but now I think I want to wear it too except I made the ribbon too short for me to wear. Maybe I can just pin it on my outfit instead. I made a lot for RC already anyway. I'm a little too late obsessing about them but I think they are still in trend right now. I'm glad RC is not being too clingy anymore like when she was younger and mommy can do some other things that she loves to do like crafting. I still consider myself an amateur but I learn from other craft blogs and online videos. I'll probably post more flower craft here once I am able to upload them from  my camera. So what are your latest obsession aside from blogging?

Easter Eggs and Goodies

 Here is my entry for Yummy Sunday, Shadow Shot Sunday and Camera Critters. Happy Easter to all of you. So far, we've been busy.  These pictures are the eggs that RC got from an egg hunting event. Now, we have too much candies and chocolates. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum... delicioso!

I managed to take a picture of my favorite eggs. I love all the colors. I think the pictures turned out so good.

Wednesday memes

N is for night. I love these sunset pictures. It looks so calming. I alway s love to take pictures by the sea and the sunset. Night, a time to rest, a reminder that tomorrow is another day.

  

I know this blog became a meme blog. I'm trying to add some reviews with the posts though.

Here's my thoughts about memes since I have been doing it for awhile:

1.It's a great way to connect to more bloggers.

2. You actually think how you can join the meme, most of them requires you to post something about a topic, it makes you be creative in blogging.

3. You receive more comments.

4.You get more followers.

5. You have to have a bunch of photos stored in your computer or you will have to take more so you can  join some of them.

6. This is related to number 1 but I'll add that bloggers even if they write about different topics, they can be connected through memes. After all, most people are concerned about food, nature, photos etc.

Hi ladies, for those that I have passed the award and the tag on, I would understand if you are unable to do it or if you take some time to do it.

YUMMY SUNDAY: Tocino

Tocino is probably one of the easiest to cook Filipino dish. You can buy this at Asian stores if you live in the USA. It is already packaged and marinated, most of them are ready to fry but I still prefer to boil it first so the flavor is not overwhelming.

Here is how usually the package looks like.

 Put it in a pan and then put a little water, I might have put more than I should have here. But don't worry if you put a little more, you will just have to cook it longer that way.

Allow it to boil and let the water evaporate.

After most of the water evaporate, put some vegetable oil just enough to fry, since it is already cooked, you will just have to mix it with the oil for approximately three minutes. It will look like the one in the picture. After you take the pork out of the pan, it might look messy but you can just put plain water in the pan and let it boil for a little while so you will not have a problem taking the sticky marinate out of the pan.

Here is the finished product. It is delicious, for those who haven't tried it, you can give it a try. It is tender and sweet.

Animals and Shadows

I think I did a great job taking these photos. You might think that this is weird but sometimes, I feel bad about eating meat. I've seen how they kill pigs and how it screamed hard when they are about to slaughter it. I thought, the pig values its life just like I value mine. The same thing goes with other animals.  I thought about being a vegetarian but meat is everywhere. You really have to be creative with food if you would want to be a vegetarian. I also notice the caterers of vegetarian food charge so much more than regular food. I guess there is a price to being healthy.

On the other hand, I also think that we live in a world of survival. It just so happened that some animals are there for human consumption just like flies are for frog consumption.

 I applaud the environmentalist out there and those who are keepers of the zoo who have passion to take care of animals. It must be a fun but tough job.

Birthday trip down the memory lane

For RC's 2nd birthday, we took her to the zoo. The zoo was spacious, plenty of room to walk around, there was a lot too see other than the animals. We had a great time and she enjoyed it. She can even recognize some of the animals that she used to watch at her video My Baby Can Read. I feel bad that she did not have a party but for her upcoming 3rd birthday which is many months from now, I will definitely have some kind of celebration for her. I can tell that she will feel special, she is even singing the song Happy Birthday when there was a party at the child care center she goes to.

This next picture was from RC's first birthday.We celebrated it at Chuck E Cheese. We only had a few visitors and it was an impulse decision to celebrate it there.  You might have seen this picture from my other blog Mom Daughter Style.

Watery Wednesday

Some pictures of the ocean taken almost a year ago, it was mother's day. Time goes by so fast, I can still recall fresh from my memory when we stayed at the resort like it was just last month.  I hope you like the pictures. This is my first entry to Watery Wednesday. I am really hoping I can connect to other bloggers by joining memes. I might have mentioned this before but if I am unable to reply to your comments on the same day, I will try to comment back as soon as I can and for those who followed my blog, thank you so much, I will also try to get back and follow you too not longer than this coming weekend.

These pictures want me to go by the beach again and enjoy the relaxing view.

ABC Wednesday

M is for monkey. I got this shirt from Tshirt printing.net. I love the print and the bright colors. It would otherwise be just a boring tshirt if it's just plain gray without any design. I made a review of their T-shirts on my other blog but I would make another one here, just a brief kind of review. They have cute prints that you can choose and you can also choose your own logo for them to print, so you can customize your t-shirt order. I think that is great if you are promoting a business, big or small or a fund raiser. Sometimes, I am thinking of having a shirt with the URL of my blogs. Then I will go around the mall and the park, maybe I'll have more readers that way, just a thought.

Chic in Black: Boots

These are my latest shoes. I love the color black on shoes because it is very versatile. You can match any color with it. Lately, I've been trying to wear boots although it is humid. The only thing I would change about this boots is that I would put a little more heels on it. I was trying to find something but my shoe size is so small and I can't walk in pointed heels.

I'm really happy about this meme. I have a lot of things that are color black so now I just have to take pictures of them or wear my clothes so I can join this every week. I also love looking fashion blogs so this is also a chance to see what other people are wearing and their style.
