You probably heard the news that Elizabeth Taylor passed away. Since she was an older actress, I was not really aware how beautiful she was. I see her name on perfumes and hear her name on TV. When I was a child, I remember my grandma would say her name too. Seeing all her pictures especially from her childhood and early adulthood, she is indeed beautiful. She is probably one of the most beautiful person in the world. I learned more about her now than before. She is known for her purple eyes and her charity works. She had 7 husbands. She is also an advocate for AIDS victims long before people would want to associate their name with the disease and she does not have one. 

Just before turning 60 in 1992, she summed herself up for Life magazine, saying: "I've been lucky all my life. Everything was handed to me: looks, fame, wealth, honors, love. But I've paid for that luck with disasters. Terrible illnesses, destructive addictions, broken marriages." --Source: People.com

Belated St Patty's Day!

Hi! How is everyone doing? I have been slacking to update this blog lately.

I want to share with you some pictures I found online of the Green Chicago River. It was dyed green for St. Patrick's day. How cool is this? It would be awesome if they will do it at a lake or river here. I love the color green. Green means life, fertility and hope.

I just reached 100 followers. Thanks to the mommy communities I  joined and of course, from my last post, blog follower caravan. I wish I know about this when I started blogging. It took me a long time to build up my other blog and have followers.

Blog Follower Caravan- My First One!

This is my first one and I am excited to join this follower caravan.

I am a mom to one, I own two blogs Mom Daughter Style and Mom Daughter Reviews.  Blogging is one my favorite hobby. I love posting new entries as well as reading and looking at pictures from other blogs. I'm Asian currently living in the US. I work full time and I love the weekends because it is my chance to spend 24 hours a day with my family. Motherhood is the best thing for me. I am a bargain hunter. Except for food, I usually don't buy anything else for full price.

A blogging story: Becoming Super Mommy

Becoming Super Mommy tells the tale of one wild ride after another.  From her husband's brain cancer diagnosis the day after their engagement, through fertility treatments and and a dramatic emergency c-section, tackling their new lives as a family.  Cancer survivors, students, fighting through unemployment and home ownership, parents of twin girls, and building a family with two religions and two lifestyles, things never seem to calm down for Becoming Super Mommy. 

Even so, Becoming Super Mommy will make you laugh with her through her daily life, share joy in the successes and victories of motherhood, and occasionally shed a tear.  If raising children is an art, then Becoming Super Mommy could teach a master class, layering her canvases with love and and levity.  The result is timeless- the ongoing story a truly unique family living in truly unique times.  And celebrating every day as a treasure.

Missouri

I love this state. I've been here three times already. It is a long flight from where I am but it is always worth it. I live in a very busy city and when I come here to rural Missouri, it is my chance to get away, break free from working, relax, see more of nature and just chill out.

I think I can do it, live here, experience the four seasons, watch the leaves turn green to orange to brown. I know some people who ask me what to see in Missouri, there is actually a lot of tourist attractions there, there are big cities too. It is such a big state. You can choose either to be in a country or city. They famous Gateway Arch is here and Branson which offers a lot of interesting shows and attractions. Unfortunately, we were not able to do much sight seeing while we were there because me and my daughter got sick and the time is not enough. Overall, it is still a very relaxing and good trip.

I can't wait to come back. I want to see more of the United States and see other states but this state is where I would go mostly.
