Zenni Optical Review

Many of us find that as we get older we have difficulty seeing things clearly. When we were younger we could read dates on coins and directions in our favorite recipes. But now things are getting blurry, and you’ve made an appointment with your optometrist and have been told you need glasses. You’ll be given a prescription and you have the option of buying expenses frames and lenses at the optical shop, or you can save lots of money and buy your glasses online.

You can spend over $400 for a pair of glasses at your local optical shop, or you can go online and get $6.95 prescription eyeglasses which are made for you using your prescription. I have a close relative who has bought two pair of glasses online and gives them raving reviews. You can even buy eyeglasseswith tinted  lenses which will cut down on the glare from the sun when you’re outside on a sunny day. You can also order prescription sunglasses online and save even more money.

One of the websites that I’ve found for buying inexpensive prescription eyeglasses online is zennioptical.com. If you’re looking for reading glasses or glasses that you’ll wear all day, check out their website. You’ll save so much money on glasses you’ll wonder why you ever thought of spending so much at the local optical  shop.

Walgreens Way to Well

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Walgreens for me is a one stop shop, from drug store, groceries, basic home and personal care and more. Everytime I go to Walgreen, they have a lot of customers.  It’s very convenient to shop at Walgreens.

You can find Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products at your local Walgreens store. What is this all about? These are Walgreens products that offer a cheaper option to the consumers. I had the chance to try their Acetaminophen pain reliever and it works as well as the other leading brands and the price is much lower.  Being one of the country’s leading pharmacies, I trust Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products .  They have 100% satisfaction guarantee and their products are recommended by pharmacists. I can also save money by buying their products instead of the leading brands.

Pharmacist

They recently launched the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™ in which the goal is to improve everyday health through early detection and prevention.  As they say, prevention is better than cure.  I just learned that every time you make a purchase at Walgreens, you are contributing to the fund which provides free health education and preventive health tests to various communities.

For details please visit Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products  and Walgreens Way to Well Fund™

Walgreens is also doing giveaways to various blogs. They are offering Walgreens Gift Cards to blog readers. Please click on this link -- giveaways for more information.

I Enjoy Watching Beyond Scared Straight On Satellite TV

Thanks to Erasmo Cortez

I watched my favorite documentary on Satellite TV that I got after coming across these http://www.expertsatellite.com/. Beyond Scared Straight is currently my favorite documentary show. It comes on every week. This is quite convenient for me since I work during the day. I have been hooked since the first episode aired three weeks ago.

It is a fascinating show that displays some things that troubled teens are currently experiencing. The show takes a deep look at how teen crime can be prevented if someone intervenes. Unfortunately, some of thes! e kids lack the proper parenting that could discourage them from participating in wild and unlawful behavior.
The prisoners in the show introduce the kids to real prison life.

I think this is a very interesting concept. Showing troubled teens the harsh reality of prison life can discourage them from a potential life of crime. It is interesting to see the expressions on the teens face once they come in direct contact with the prisoners. Some prisoners use harsh language in order to intimidate the kids. This is a stern tactic that can have outstanding results once the tour is over.

I think that teens in trouble should watch this show as well. This show will more than likely discourage them from going down a troubled path. I think that more prison tours should be established in order to reach troubled youth all over the country.

Cryo-Cell International

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I considered banking RC’s umbilical cord when I was pregnant but we were not able to afford it at that time. We ended up donating it for research purposes. It is an excellent idea to preserve the newborn’s umbilical cord because it puts a parent’s mind at ease as this can protect your child against potential disease(s).  I wish we were able to do it. As parents, health and safety are one of our main concerns for our children.

There are so many researches right now proving the importance of cord blood banking.  If you or somebody you know is pregnant, you can head over to Cryo-Cell to find out more information.  Cryo-Cell has helped over 230,000 customers worldwide since 1992.  They helped preserve their newborn's umbilical cord blood for potential use against many diseases. Their website is easy to navigate and you can view clients’ testimonials and videos.  Even if you are not pregnant, the information provided will also be helpful in making future decisions.

For a limited time, Cryo-Cell is also giving away their award winning Baby Jogger City Mini stroller if you enroll by June 12, 2011. I also thought about buying this kind of stroller when I was pregnant but it was worth more than $200. You can lose the pounds easier with this stroller and your little one will enjoy it too.

You can enroll today and get fit for motherhood!

DIY Number Refrigerator Magnets

Look at what I made today! So easy, no sewing for me as usual.

I will try to put a tutorial here as clearly as I can.

Materials:
1. Old white jeans of my daughter RC.
2. Felt fabric
3.Scissors
4. Glue gun
5. Magnets
6. Optional: Number template

Instructions:

1. Cut out numbers using a fabric and scissors, it is easier if you have a template. I used a green felt paper but you can also choose other type other type of fabrics
2. Place the numbers on top of another fabric. I used white for contrasting color. Cut out hearts from it making sure that the numbers will fit inside the heart. (Okay, I did not really   make sure but I tried to fit them into the heart)
3. I used a glue gun (of course with a glue stick) to glue the numbers on top of the hearts.
4. I glued magnets at the opposite side. I used self adhesive magnets  but I still prefer to glue them for reinforcement.

I know I am still a rookie when it comes to crafting but I am enjoying it.

I hope all is well with you all. I've been neglecting this blog for awhile now. Thank you so much for the visits.
