Chic in Black: Boots

mytotsexactly CIB Monday

These are my latest shoes. I love the color black on shoes because it is very versatile. You can match any color with it. Lately, I've been trying to wear boots although it is humid. The only thing I would change about this boots is that I would put a little more heels on it. I was trying to find something but my shoe size is so small and I can't walk in pointed heels.

I'm really happy about this meme. I have a lot of things that are color black so now I just have to take pictures of them or wear my clothes so I can join this every week. I also love looking fashion blogs so this is also a chance to see what other people are wearing and their style.

Ruby Tuesday: Days Inn Hotel

Here’s my very first entry to Ruby Tuesday. Can you tell I am enjoying this memes too much?
Me and my daughter were wearing red as you can see on the pictures.

Since my blog is about review, I would take this chance to also write about Days Inn Hotel where we stayed in Springfield Missouri last February. It is clean, has two queen sized beds, has a nice flat screen TV, has a place to hang your clothes, has a table and storage areas. The only thing that I was not happy about is that there was not much space to move around, so if you have a toddler, it may not be a kid friendly for you. However, I would say that it is priced right. I am not sure if they offer bigger rooms.  Overall, I am satisfied with our stay. They leave a friendly note after they clean the room. They have “booklet” explaining some household rules and how they are going green and encouraging their customers to conserve.

By the way, I would appreciate it a lot if you follow me on Twitter. I would follow back. I still  have to learn it though. Here's my link --  http://twitter.com/MomandRC  Thank you in advance.

Yummy Sunday: My first one

I think this memes are getting to be enjoyable for me. These pictures were taken last Tueday night when we went to a restaurant. It was delicious, I should have taken  pictures of the dessert and the steak that we ordered  but I was not able to. Anyway, we had seafood, rice, chicken nuggets and french fries.

I will make a review of Anna Miller's restaurant, it is one of our favorite here in the island. They offer a good variety of food, their staff is friendly. I love the red and white theme especially the uniforms that are worn by their waitresses. They have great pies! They have peach pie, peanut butter and chocolate, strawberry, all are very good, yummy. With the price, I can't complain either. A lot of the food in their menu is less than $20 and they give a reasonable amount of food per serving.  They provide kids with crayons, they ask you right away if you need a high chair or a booster chair. Even their cups have prints that are made for kids (you can refer to the picture). Overall, it is a good place to eat.

Mommy Moments: Summer plans

mommy moments

I'm joining mommy  moments. Summer is coming here but we don't have any definite plans. However, I plan to continue on wearing some matching outfits with my daughter. Life will be usual, I will have to go to work, and take my daughter to the daycare but I try to spend quality time with her on those times that we are together. Lately she has been singing and dancing so that's one activity that we do too. We're thinking of also going to some restaurants that we love like we did on the last picture.

I hope all is well with you!

I'm crafty!

I think I have been neglecting this blog now. When I first started it, I actually have a lot of hope and ambition for it that it would grow into something like my main blog Mom Daughter Style. I am not saying that I have lots and lots of visitors there but it would consider it a successful blog because it has a Google rating and more followers. For those who have not been in my other blog, you can visit it HERE.

I am not in a hurry. I learned that it can take awhile and blogging should be fun, no pressures. I think I need more time so I can keep updating both blogs. I really admire those mommies that can run more than five blogs. That is like so WOW for me when I first learned about people having so much blogs. I don't blame them. I would probably make more than two blogs if I am not working full time or if I have the time to update my blog while I am working. Unfortunately, the amount of work I have to do at my job consumes all  my time there and I am being careful not to be caught surfing the internet.

Anyway, I have been crafty lately. The pompom hair pins are one of my latest creations. How do you like it? I am actually making my way to becoming a real Do-It-Yourself'er rather than a semi DIY'er. In the last picture, I bought the flowers already made so I consider those semi DIY. I  just have to remove the stem, sew and glue them together, then put the alligator clips. I love dressing up my daughter and these hair pieces would always make a good statement with her outfits.

For those who followed me, I would follow back no longer than this coming weekend. Yeah, I know I can be slow. I'll also try to visit the links in the blogger's exchange directory and comment back. It is a privelege to be in that list. Thank you... thank you... for those  who visit this blog even though I am becoming a lousy blogger on this one. I know as mommies like me and busy people, you understand where I am coming from.

Faces of Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor as a young girl

Elizabeth Taylor, the gorgeous actress in her younger years.

Below are her older pictures:

You probably heard the news that Elizabeth Taylor passed away. Since she was an older actress, I was not really aware how beautiful she was. I see her name on perfumes and hear her name on TV. When I was a child, I remember my grandma would say her name too. Seeing all her pictures especially from her childhood and early adulthood, she is indeed beautiful. She is probably one of the most beautiful person in the world. I learned more about her now than before. She is known for her purple eyes and her charity works. She had 7 husbands. She is also an advocate for AIDS victims long before people would want to associate their name with the disease and she does not have one.
Just before turning 60 in 1992, she summed herself up for Life magazine, saying: "I've been lucky all my life. Everything was handed to me: looks, fame, wealth, honors, love. But I've paid for that luck with disasters. Terrible illnesses, destructive addictions, broken marriages." --Source: People.com
